Sleep Never Comes

Our top story tonight: studies say we won't last the year. Spend everything you have. stimulate the life depressor, the void creator. We were born empty shells, fill us up, kill more of ourselves. There's still more to come: sickness is on the rise. The cost of care skyrockets at an alarming rate. Thousands are dying misguided. Find a god, die with the flock. Fuel for the fear, fuel for the hate. Fuel for the sleepless nights, fuel for the drink...now sleep. My solace, devoured by fears. My dreams are horror scenes, how many times can I die in my sleep? Wake up, refuse: fear, hate. Find purpose and love. Medicate to live, to love, to die.

Ravenous

We're all ravenous, we've grown too fast. Hardwired to proliferate, slaves of instinct. As the burden grows insurrmountable, we're left to fight for what little resources are left. And we have conqured all, we're the face of predation. A parasite, murdering host. So many eyes yet so blind. Laying waste to the land as we grow each city. Reproduce, no restraint, ignorant to the impact. We will be our end. Every choice, affects us all. Every new life will take it's toll. When the sun is scarce some trees won't shed their seeds. Our light is fading, as we stare into the dusk. When hoards find only themselves to eat, hungry mouths prey on the weak. This is the tomorrow we're responsible for. This is what we are passing down.

Soggy Teeth

Your rotting mouth spills ignorance. Disguised as truth, as the absolute. Crippling fear has you clinging to faith, and you would drag us all down if it meant you'd stay afloat. Fold my hands and wait? I can't. I will flourish in every moment that I have. When no one can be sure of what's to come, you're selling conviction. Convert, convert. You need more of you to afford your salvation. Tread and await your deliverer as you bleed ambition. Fools! This life is what you make it, take control. I will swim for the shore, struggle for what's in sight. It takes strength to carry the weight. I will be strong. So keep your promises, save them for someone else. I refuse to wait in the sea, for your prophecy, false certainty. I refuse to give up the shore, for your word.

Burning Beast

Wander into the great unknown. A chance to lose myself, to feel alive, to escape the grinding pace. Breathe deep, enter a dream-like state. As beauty rattles bones I find myself shaken awake. Do you feel connected to the world outside your walls? Smother sounds of civilian life. In this vast sanctuary my inner voice beckons. A call for fire, a call for meat. A primal yearn for burning beast. Taste the ancestry, digest, devolve. Flesh over flames. Stars over head. Burning beast. The magnificent wild, behold! Flesh over flames, flavors long forgotten. Stars over head, sleep outside, feel alive. Let yourself run wild. Roam in splendor, be free. Explore origins, awaken instincts within. Feel at home in the great unknown.

Promise of Youth

Looking out I see myself in the faces staring back. The promise of youth and innocence, breathe new life into this city. Pouring sweat from passion, your participation makes it all worth while. For you I sing. My heart and soul exposed within these walls. Our lives are entwined and growing stronger. Will you take these words to heart? Words like flames from the driest mouth. I've thirsted for so long to be the activist for potential in you. Awaken fire in you, burning for the truth. And now it seems I'm flickering and fading out. I'm fading out. When my time has come and gone, carry on. It's up to you. You get out what you put in. Invest yourself, become the change. I'm fading, it's up to you to carry on. It's our spirit that has made us strong, a frame of mind you must pass on. It's up to you, keep your head up. keep those fires burning as the cold rain pours down. Keep thinking forward, change the outcome of every passing day.

Consumer

Benevolence

Here we gauge what is mandatory to live comfortable. We work hard, slave away countless hours spent making sure our needs are met. But there are those with fortunes overflowing. With the means to ease others so deserving. If they only knew how far their arms could reach out. If they only cared to open their hearts, extend a tender hand. ask yourself is it enough? What can we live without? Do you have what you need? Reach out see what this means. Ask yourself, is it enough? Stand up and weigh in. Here we gauge who is deserving, of what we can provide. When the youth are coming up real short, can't expect them all to play their part. If you're not willing to invest, your heart.

Looking Up

"It's all the same." Woe is he, the man who never tries to find, the lesson in every pain that burns inside. You're still soaking, you hate the rain yet you won't take a single step, move out from that cloud. I'll keep searching, never settling, witness the brighter side of everything I am surrounded by. You say that life's not improving, you're not looking up. Even after years of hopeless nights, the sun is on the rise. On the rise, you will find, days never seem the same. When it feels like we've been chasing after endless miles we never think to count the inches, so I'm counting. Because life's a sequence of small steps, so I'm stepping out. Try to aim yourself every stride towards the brighter side. Shedding light on just how far we've come. Here we stand as a witness, see how this truly has changed us all. Show me conviction still burning, and you're not giving up. A small culmination of victories, but things are looking up just the same.

Departure

As each day dies, close the casket, bury the past. Moving on in a new direction, lament I leave behind. My shovel deep I dig to forget. Did I ask the right questions? Did I hear what was said? I'm giving this all up tonight. I wait for my hands to dry tonight. Clouds part in the black sky tonight, things never seemed so clear...Never forget what's inside: tools to shape your fate. Nothing has been set in stone, nothing is out of reach.

Life is Good Here

Will it ever be enough for you? Can anything satisfy, that smug indication? So many words to express you couldn't care less about what we're trying to do. I know why we have to try to make the best of this. Look past their words and remind yourself we will live out every dream. Is this a maritime nightmare? When you've sunk so deep inside yourself, our hope keeps us afloat, high above the depths. This view, a thief steals my breath. We have built an unsinkable ship, our ties hold us fast, and we rise above all the weight. We won't be dragged down. We rise above over dark waves, we won't be dragged down, to the bottom. It drags you down, fade away. This is a call from those living above the sea. Can you hear it? This is the life I want to live.

Buckingham

There was an age when we thought we had all there was to hold. But right now the world is taking a toll we're all paying. With the lives of the innocent ones we loved. How many more will we forfeit for the crown? Cast into imperial flames the smoke rises burning eyes, ash covers every trace. We have to ask, we have to pry. Can we get down to the heart of the matter? Yesterday we sat atop a legacy of conquest. Expanded too far, we can't support ourselves. Our weakness glimmers...a beacon. Overthrow...more than a whisper, more than a battle cry! How can we ignore? countless numbers disappear, silenced by fear, too defeated to speak out. Our voice: the only hope they have to be heard. I will expose, I will speak out. I keep my ears to the streets I'm searching for a sign that we haven't lost sight of what matters most in life. I've grown accustomed to the constant flow of fiction. I am not a savage. I am a man of reason. There was a time when we thought we knew all there was to know In an age when confusion is a constant, this is our inquisition.

The Swarm

Today is not that far from foreign eyes in every home watching your every move. They converge like scavengers, feasting on their own. You better lock your doors, no one is safe from the swarm. We think we know the faces on the screen. We feel the distance between make us different. Where is the sense that we share common goals? Bridge the gap, then burn this bridge. Turn it off, tune out, and watch as whispers collapse. We have our own side to share. Turn it off, tune out and write our chapters. We'll document what is real and true. Today is not that far from realizing that pain is pain, and watching each other suffer is not an antidote. So try your best, we don't live with compassion. Step outside yourself. We have our own side to share. With nothing in between we've come face to face. No one is safe, nothing is sacred.

Seven Thirty

I've got my head stuck in the clouds again. I've been wasting time, stakes are high, the task is at hand. Dare I take a chance, risk it all. Put in everything I've got, all in, on one shot. This is a promise, things don't have to be this way. Don't be afraid to fight for a better life. Are you ready to work fingers to the bone. Don't be afraid to change your situation. So tell me what have you got to loose. Tomorrow waits for no one. Time is up you gotta make a move. Stop pretending that the world owes you a helping hand and find the will to start again. You've been waiting all this time, for someone to sweep you off your feet. Well take a look around we're all waiting for you to pick yourself up. Impossible is a choice you make. I pulled my feet back down to the ground. I invested time and tears, bled from blistered hands. I took my chance, risked it all. Put in everything I had, and I never looked back.

Lionhearted

I've given up on trying to find any new sense of security. I've come to realize what I have is all I need. It's a comforting thought, that I can stop searching, start living out the better of these years. This fear has no place in our hearts. We're picking up strength each step of the way. And what we have inside no one can touch. True lion hearts because tomorrow's another day. Each time we make a stand to face a challenge, we face life head on. Each time, re-evaluate, we're making changes, we're building character, bettering ourselves. I guess it's true, that the bravest of men have the least to loose. But if we live inside ourselves, we're not living. I've given up on trying to find any new sense of family. I've come to realize true friends are there for me. It's a comforting thought, that we have overcome, and learned from the lessons of these years. This fear has no place in our hearts, we find strength in each other. We will always see this through, we won't turn our backs. True lion hearts, no matter what comes our way.

Off the Record

Despite my best efforts I fear I'm growing old. Leaves have fallen signified another season has passed, this one different than the last. I have lived twelve more months. I have survived and still I fight this aging process, I long for carelessness. It's coming to an end, those youthful days without a care in sight. and I'm not quite who I used to be. I'm demanding more from me. To relive those days again with the knowledge that I have now... would things be any different, or would I make the same mistakes again? My mistakes have made me who I am today. It's not too late to try and find everything to tie you down, hold you back. As time slips by, there are greater things down the line.

Keeper

My friend good morning! Waking up next to you let's me know I have the strength to carry my heart through another day. Thankful. Being in your presence makes the greatest difference. I'd drift away without you. You are the constant in my life. You keep me anchored down to something worthwhile.

Inhuman Nature

I am the man-eater. Consumed by desire. Craving like I'll never eat again...Consume, till I'm content. I'll never get enough. Sound a warning no one else will hear. Prepare ourselves for final days growing near. We are privileged ones. I'm amazed we've made it this far. Destructive nature in our veins. With corrosion for fingerprints, it's been a long time coming. Face yourself, face the truth and learn to restrain. Is this instinct, is it in our blood? I guess its in the garish way we live everyday. Consume and be consumed, conserve, restrain. All the wasteful ways have sped up the clock, and we say our hands are tied. Like we never had a chance to do anything, this creature comes, we stand to fight. These won't be our final days, we'll strive to find the balance within this world and change our lives. We'll keep this beast at bay, conduct ourselves a more human way...

Lasting Impression

Despite all attempts to escape, we remain keepers of this space. We are the caretakers. With every move we leave footprints, the trail is cracked and dry. Is there still time to make our getaway? Improvement starts with me, with us all, a collection of consciousness. Striving for something more. Before you decide to resign look around you. It's not too late. If you were waiting for a sign open eyes the time has come, we are the caretakers. All we're striving for is something more than fate. Keep in mind, as we all gorge, generations will inherit scraps and bones. Conservation starts with me, with us all, take only what you need. Give back what you can, save for the future. It starts with us. On your way weary wanderer, take all you need, leave everything behind. We share a gift, we share a legacy, we share a home, tread light on your path.
